“It’s time for new leadership in the Civic Party,” Paylor remarked to a PFP reporter. “New blood is a new thing, whether that would be Samuel Trenton, Bertram Spellings, Sadie Myers, Patrick Newsom, or someone else.”

Paylor stated also that her presence at the top of the ticket would be “certainly detrimental to Civic chances this election.” According to the former president, she will act as an adviser to the nominees of the Civic Party in the future and campaign for the party’s candidates, but that she will retire at the end of President Mellark’s first term.
