Sextimus Dalton, former VP candidate and current D5 representative, has been appointed to serve as District 5’s newest lieutenant governor.
Dalton, who was elected less than a year ago to the House of Representatives in D5’s second congressional district, has made history multiple times as a vice presidential candidate and once again when he became the first Centre representative from District 5. However, his second tenure as representative has come to a halt as Governor Harold Dupont (Liberty-D5) is naming Dalton as his successor following Dupont’s ascension to the governor’s mansion.
Dalton’s promotion to the lieutenant governorship breaks the Centre Party into a new realm of Panem politics: districtwide elections. While the Centre Party holds district house and senate seats, its main focus has been on the federal House of Representatives, where they are the official opposition to the Liberty Party.
