New polls show uncertainty in new administration

Polls commissioned by The Panem Free Press indicate an overall uncertainty in the new Mellark administration following the corruption and scandals of the past administration.

The Panem Free Press polled the following questions:

  • What is your view of the Mellark administration: favorable, unfavorable, uncertain?
  • What is your view of the former Canth administration: favorable, unfavorable, uncertain?
  • Which administration do you prefer: Mellark, Canth, uncertain?
  • What is your view of President Peeta Mellark: favorable, unfavorable, uncertain?
  • What is your view of the job that President Mellark is doing as president: approve, disapprove, uncertain?
  • What is your view of Vice President Rebecca Tarson: favorable, unfavorable, uncertain?
  • What is your view of the job that Vice President Tarson is doing as vice president: approve, disapprove, uncertain?
  • What is your view on government in general: favorable, unfavorable, uncertain?

The results are as follows.

Favorable – 34 percent

Unfavorable – 30 percent

Uncertain – 36 percent

What is your view of the former Canth administration?

Favorable – 5 percent

Unfavorable – 87 percent

Uncertain – 8 percent

Which administration do you prefer?

Mellark administration – 41 percent

Canth administration – 4 percent

Uncertain – 55 percent

What is your view of President Peeta Mellark?

Favorable – 48 percent

Unfavorable – 12 percent

Uncertain – 40 percent

What is your view of the job that President Mellark is doing as president?

Approve – 40 percent

Disapprove – 9 percent

Uncertain – 51 percent

What is your view of Vice President Rebecca Tarson?

Favorable – 34 percent

Unfavorable – 8 percent

Uncertain – 58 percent

What is your view of the job that Vice President Tarson is doing as vice president?

Approve – 30 percent

Disapprove – 6 percent

Favorable – 14 percent

Unfavorable – 56 percent

Uncertain – 30 percent

The polling shows a bumpy road for the beginning of the Mellark administration. This isn’t necessarily due to their own actions, but rather due to the low confidence in government caused by the Canth administration. There is still time to turn uncertainty to approval before election season rolls around.
