BREAKING: The Supreme Court of Panem, the nation’s highest court, has ruled on the case Oswald v. Canth. The case, where Conservative nominee for president Rick Canth filed for a manual recount while Liberty nominee Celine Oswald filed an injunction, claiming it wasn’t necessary, was argued for one week.
The Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice Sean Wheeler, concluded 5-4 to uphold the recount in District 7. The majority, led by Wheeler, stated that “a recount in District 7 is justifiable in the case of this election, as it was necessary to proceed with an automatic recount.” There were no concurrences. The dissent stated that “an automatic recount are typically correct, and therefore, there is no need for a recount as Ms. Oswald stated.”
