BREAKING: The Capitol Building, where the House and Senate meet to form the Panem Congress, has collapsed after extensive damage.
The Capitol Building, built under the reign of Coriolanus Snow I, was initially an extra palace for the dictator and his descendants. However, after the Panem Rebellion, the building was completely refurbished in order to put it to proper use for the incoming special meeting of Congress.
The building suffered catastrophic damage in the earthquake that rocked the Capitol and District 3. Registering as a 9.1 on the official international scale, the earthquake has killed around 2,500 people, including House Speaker Enrique Saldana and Senate President pro tempore Wendla Johnson. It is unknown where Congress will meet in the meantime, but it will certainly not be in the Capitol.
